Our UV‑protected polycarbonate inserts are 200× stronger than glass and 50% lighter, giving you a crystal‑clear barrier that doesn’t crack, shatter, or weaken under force. Unlike traditional glazing, the polycarbonate flexes under attack — absorbing energy instead of breaking. It’s the same material used in high‑security environments, now adapted for everyday buildings that want discreet protection.

Perforated Steel That Lets Light In
For customers who want maximum strength with airflow and visibility, our perforated steel option uses 2.2 mm galvanised Zintec sheet with precision‑cut 4 mm holes. It allows 65% of natural light through and is almost invisible from the inside. Double powder‑coated for durability, it stands up to weather, vandalism, and repeated impact without bending or buckling.

Every CrimeScreen is built around a 40×25 mm aluminium frame engineered to handle real‑world attacks. Inside the frame sits an impact‑absorbing compression gasket — a flexible buffer that allows the polycarbonate or steel to move under pressure without popping out. This is what makes CrimeScreen different: the system works as a single, integrated unit, not just a sheet held in place.
